My Maytag MAT12PDBAW Top Load Washer won't finish it's cycle. On a 45 minute cycle it keeps getting hung up with 17 minutes left. The only diagnostic code I get is "d7 Last fill was slow". Is this a water pressure / pipe size issue or a timer issue?
First attack is the lid switch- make sure it connects when closed- you can bypass with a jumper until replaced. After that the water inlet valve. If asking for cold rinse the washer will just sit there waiting to fill. confrim cold water at the valve by pulling hoses or if there is cold at other times like warm wash - you can feel it while filling. There may be a blocked in-line filter so check the external hoses and valve too.

I had the same problem. and I did the suggestion dated 9/26/06. Too another piece of hose and attached it to the water level switch and blew into it. and the machine began aggitating. My question is... DO I replace the hose?? or switch?? Now that I have purchased a new machine. I find a solution, Oh well. thanks df

the possibility of it being the timer is most likely..as the rest of the cycles remain ok.. if you require a timer, you can get one here at this link..(click the link here) http://www.easyapplianceparts.com/AdvancedModelSearch.aspx?ModelNum=HAV4657EWW&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=1
please be aware that you will need the machine serial number in order for them to issue you with the correct part/s you will require.. parts are cross referenced with the serial number.
these diagrams will also enlarge in order for you to maintain your machine by yourself at little but the cost of the parts required... but please DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIR YOURSELF if you think you may not have the technical know how to follow these technical drawings..hope this helps

Is the machine in Spin Cycle when this is happening? What part of the washer selected cycle does the Cycle Status LED say the machine cycle is in.
If it’s in the Spin Cycle I think you have a clutch issue. Do you take any error codes to the LED console display such as dC or uC?
If you stop the machine in that cycle and do a Spin Only cycle will it complete?
Do you want to DIY the fix? Let me know and I will try to help…..Rich

Hi First
make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the
bottom of the unit, after this test the lid switch assembly, you jump it to
test it. If the lid switch is also fine then the control board should be
replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance. Daniel
