Sound not working - Shows in device manager as ok. Properties are unavailable. I tried to reinstall driver. It was working at one time. I had to replace hard drive. Is there a connection under the keyboard that could have been disconnected, if so, where?

Repair isatap drivers windows 7

if the drives are working, leave it be. There can be false positives. If the drives are slow or some thing else is odd, try the following solutions. Try to locate the driver needed by going to system devices and looking for a yellow or red icon next to a device. If there are no marked devices, you are probably ok.
Computer icon, properties, select device manager.
Open the properties for that device. details tab, properties and select hardware id. Copy the hardware id information and google it (sample:IDE\CdRomATAPI_iHAS324___B_______________________AL1A____ trimmed and adjusted becomes IDE\Cd Rom ATAPI iHAS324) Find drivers for that hardware if you can and update. You can also just uninstall the device and click rescan from the device manager menu. It should reinstall.

2.2 Under Hardware Tab -> Click on Device Manager

If Windows Vista or later versions

3. Under Device Manager try to check if there is Other Devices among the list

Sound is now unavailable

Please try to check your audio by right click (mouse) My Computer icon (on the desktop screen) > click Properties > select Hardware tab above > click Device Manager tab > click +Sound, Video & Game Controllers > double click your selected Audio Controller device- wherein you can see if the device status is working properly as well as if the Device Usage is Enabled, if not click Troubleshoot tab.

Or you can also check your Sound / Control device thru Start > Contol Panel > Sounds, Speech & Audio Devices > Sound & Audio Devices - wherein you can adjust the volume & test your sound.

Or you will have to reinstall the sound driver. best regards

if it looks ok in there - open all Your audio programs, real, win media and any others make sure none are on mute and up full volume
