I have an '08 Hyundai Santa Fe. My XM subscription expired now my radio doesn't work at all the display says mute phone active. There is no mute button on the radio and it doesn't have inputs for mp3 or bluetooth. I was planning on renewing my subscription but shouldn't the radio work for regular am/fm stations with out XM. Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it...Thanks!

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's servicecentre and get them to enter this code for you.
Without jabbing at the XM help staff or Dealers who wont mess with the small stuff, (no money in it)
try going to a high-end car audio shop. If they sell decks that came with Sat. radio they should be able to help. You will not have been the first person to ask for help with this!!
Disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes and reconnect. Most of the time this will reset the XM set top box and all will start to work properly.
Try this: On the fuse panel in the dash is a black jumer not described in the manual or panel cover. It's a quick power disconnect for radio and clock. Pull it, wait for a brief time, replace it in the original orientation.
