you have to reseat the memory
Reseat means you have to remove the memory while the computer is unplug from the system
1. Unplug the power cable from the system
2. Press the Power button for about 5-10 secs to drain any electro static discharge
3. Locate the memory bay
it looks like this
Theres 2 white clips in each side
you have to press the 2 white clips on each side to remove it
if you 2 memory you have to remove both of them then put it back the way it was removed and push it towards the slot like you see in the picture.
you must heat that it clicks , thats the indicator that its properly seated.
please be careful and do not put too much pressure when pushing/pressing it down.
Hope that helps
What kind of beep, one long beep then pause and beep again, a bunch of beeps, or a combination of different type of beeps. Try resetting the BIOS by either using the BIOS jumper or removing the BISO battery and turning the computer on then off, replacing the BIOS battery and turning the computer on again. REMEMBER opening the computer WILL VOID THE WARRIENTY!!! The BIOS battery looks like a watch battery.
How many beeps do you hear? One beep is normal, it's part of the POST process. The post is checking to make sure everything is connected before starting up. You'll need a keyboard, monitor, and RAM. So you want to make sure that your RAM is seated securely. Also this could indicate an issue with the Hard Drive if it can't find anything to boot from. It helps to know how many beeps and if you've done any upgrading lately.
