I would suspect a problem with x main board or circuit. I would start with checking the connections on the x main board?

SOURCE: Black Vertical Lines in screen

All I can tell you is that you maybe have left your T.V. on a channel that didn't move for so long, or maybe someone else did and it burnt the screen. Plasma's run off of plasma gas to create the great picture and they collect on the screen and stick. What you need to do is go to your menu and look for "screen burn protection" and put it on white and let it sit for 20 minutes. All of one color such as white doesn't harm your T.V. The only way anything burns is like a bright white line in front of a black background.

SOURCE: Red Dots on My Plasma.

Did you get this problem resoslved? I had the same issue a few months ago. I tech came by and took my TV to the shop, a few days later he said it was fixed as they needed to make some adjustments.....The TV has been fine up until a week or so ago and now the red dots have appeared again. Was wondering what happened to yours.

SOURCE: Samsung TV Power Supply Board

I doubt that moisture damaged the SMPS bd.
There are many circuit boards in your set and it will take a trained samsung tech to find the problem.

SOURCE: samsung plasma HPR4272 that had a 4" black vertical line on

There are at least two issues here. First you have bad buffer boards. Second Very possibly a bad X-Main bd and P-Logic bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

I have a Samsung PN51E530A3FZXA 51" plasma TV. I heard a pop & saw smoke from left rear of TV. TV went black & had no picture or sound, however the red power light stayed on.

Unfortunately plasma tvs are a lot more complex to service, instead of 2 or 3 boards there are a half dozen at least. I would guess when the main PS board went out it took some other boards with it. I don't have a manual for your set but I would look at the power supply sub boards, there generally are 2 of them, or on some models that is parts of the other boards. Generally there is a legend to see what voltages are supposed to be present at what places, samsung is good about making the test points on the boards. Also there are fuses on most the other boards and its possible one of those has blow, it won't be a typical fuse like your used to seeing, some are a small green component and some are white mini fuses...Good luck!

Samsung PN58C8000 Plasma. Picture changes from full color to a blue tinted picture. Logic board replaced 2yrs ago when TV would not turn on. Inspected all boards, no swollen capacitors.

Hi T Quinn.
Does the TV behaves the same way in all the inputs?
Does the color chances when the TV has been on for a while?
This failure could be in the main board, all the video info gets into the logic board from the main board itself.
I would suggest to check for proper voltages from the power supply to the main board, if all the voltages measure as expected. I would suggest to use a small cooling fan and place it near the main board.
Let me know if you require further assistance..

Right have of led tv is darker

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Replaced the power supply board on my plasma tv. Now have a snowy picture on all inputs. Green light on the logic board blinks evenly. No puffy caps. Is there another board that needs to be replaced?

After the power supply board replacement, Va & Vs voltage adjustment is a must and necessary for the proper working of the plasma display panel. Do it. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
