Yahoo keeps telling me to come to that site at a certain time , I can reset my PW, but when I do...they set it up another day and time. It's happened twice!!

On a Laptop, it isn't a 'Reset', it is a Reformat. You will need the operating system CD or it may be on a hidden partition.

Are you using POP or IMAP ? Check mail account settings on iPad, and also in Yahoo settings. There should be a "keep messages for X days setting". Have you tired with another device ?

First you need to make sure that the request to change the password is legitimately from Yahoo. Sometimes fraudulent emails from say Yahoo or Ebay will be sent to your account and it is not actually from the company but a hacker trying to get you to click on the link which will take you to a fake site that looks exactly like the real one. Anytime you get an email like this, you need to open up another tab and type in the website directly to log on. If you are unsure if it is real or not you can log on like this and change your email just in case but NEVER click on a link that looks suspicious from your email, even if it is claiming to be a site that you are affiliated with. This is called phishing. If you go directly to a site and can't log in, you will have to go through the security procedures to reset your password or have it sent to an alternative email that you usually set up when you sign up for a new account. and wait 1hour , then put it back (test it for proper voltage) and then see if PW is cleared
older PCs can clear PW this way.

Number one reason Yahoo will block a user is if the password is typed wrong too many times. That can happen when the capital lock on the keyboard. If it locked due to errors in password, it will reset in a certain amount of time. Usually about 3 days.

Other kinds of things can also cause this. "Suspicious" activity that is picked up through automation is not fully explained by Yahoo. Abusive language can get users suspended, but if this was the case, you would be informed.

Someone else trying to get into your account is a big one.Large amounts of mail suspected to be spam is another. That is why you should never give others your password.

If you forgot your password, you can reset it if you can answer securtiy setting questions. When you go to login, click I forgot my password. Don't keep putting the wrong one in.

Yahoo also asks if you have another email to send you notices, so if you did give them another, look there for information.

Did you try to log into yahoo mail web service...if you are able to log into webmail then your ID and PW is ok....May be your ISP or network admin blocking the port 1080 or 8080 ....You can try using socks proxy or VPN....Good Luck

I just went to www.bakeryinabag.com and it redirected to a Yahoo store which I suspect is the expected result.

What's happening is that the redirect is being blocked. This can be caused by security software. A new company hardware firewall.

Or perhaps Yahoo is being blocked. You need to see what changed before this problem occurred.

call your ISP and tell them you have a problem ti's probably your ISP's problem it's mroe than likely routing you in the wrong direction to connect to their server. I've had it happen to me numerous times with Time Warner internet.
