Question about Washing Machines
My washing machine will spin but when it sounds like it is going to go to a fast spin it doesn't happen , the belt appears to be ok after a quick visual inspection , The machine is filling up and draining ok . I would be grateful for any help . Many thanks

Some times on front loaders if it is out of balance it will not go into fast spin. Try to remove some of the cloths and see if this helps.

the bushes might look ok but they only last a year and a half tops thats wat it sounds like to me if it cant spin right

sounds like the carbon brushes in motor,Or motor has had it.

is it a brush motor? if so the brushes may be worn, secondly the motor control pcb may have blown. also check the wiring.

more than likely the pump needs replacing, first of all remove the outlet drain hose from the the place it discharges and lower it into a bucket,this should allow it to syphon away,you may need to empyt the bucket a few times once the machine is empty you should be able to put it on its spin cycle once it has spun locate and remove the filter to remove any objects or lint, fill machine with warm water and try to drain and spin via the programme,if this do not work fit a new pump
