Could the ink be old

Has the ink advanced conpletely down the ink loader? At the very bottom of the assembly ( the ink loader is what its calles) where you have inserted the sticks, there is a small switch that the ink has to contact. The ink stick,(s) may be in some way twisted or hanging up just enough to not actuate the switch, If you go to Xerox.com click support and drivers then type in your model number then to support again , type in out of yellow ink,, and it will tell you how to check the switch with a pencil, eraser side.
OR what you can try it take a screw, a drywall screw works the best, and twist it into your yellow sticks, and slide them back and out one at a time until you remove them all, then insert them one at a time. making sure you are not using the same yellow stick that was at the bottom to begin with. It is also possible the borrom of the ink stick isnt formed properly and not hitting the switch. Also be 100 percent certain that the ink sticks are for the 8650 and not another phaser product. There is an 8500 and 8550 where the sticks look similar, but are not quite the same shape and will not tell the machine the ink is loaded.
There is an outside chance the ink loader tray is defective, since that is where the switches are, but I have never seen that problem occur. Have you had the machine less than one year?? If so you have a 1 year on site repair warranty and you can call 1-800-835-6100 , give them your serial number and they will send someone out to resolve it for free.

Here are the directions for Tec Color correction. If this doesnt work then replacing the print head is the most likely solution. The TekColor correction options provide simulations of different color devices. Automatic is the default correction for general image processing. Use the following table to determine what option you want to use. TekColor Description Automatic Applies the best color correction to each graphic element: text, artwork, and photographs Office Color sRGB Display: Approximates the colors on a computer display. sRGB Vivid: Produces brighter, more saturated colors than sRGB Display. First off on your screen access troubleshooting, and perform the remove light strips and also remove smears and skips.
Next go to Xerox.com, under support and drivers enter 8560 in the search box. then go to the support page.
You want to look up the procedures for TEC color correction. And follow those steps.
If you are using a generic ink then, all bets are off in getting true color reproduction.
SOURCE: 8560 will not print in
Hi mguhin,
It is possible that the problem is not with the printer and the connection but from the setting of the program you are using when printing, try checking all the settings on he programs used for printing and see if the color will print as needed.
Also have you checked the Color Inks yet possible that it maybe Running low on the colored ink, one reason why the printer is randomly printing colored print outs, Printers also have the technology to balance the ink it has for all the Ink to run low at the same time possible the Black is not used that often one reason why the printer is using most of the Black ink instead of the color.
Also try removing the colored ink and re-inserting it all again in the Printer check and clean the Print head and nozzles as well to see if there will be any changes, try re-calibrating the Printer as well for a possible on the issue.
I hope that this will help.
Thank you for choosing Fixya,

The printhead is stuck in the tilted position or is not able to tilt forward to the print position, due to problems:
Has ink spilled ink around the printhead that prevents it from moving to its center position? You should be able to push the printhead right to left. Clean the printhead area. Is the printhead stuck to the Wiper Blade? Check the process drive gears for obstructions. Ensure the gears are correctly aligned and homed. Has ink spilled on the Head Tilt gear drive train? Clean the gears area of ink.
