I have no picture or sound on 42 inch aoc hdtv l42h961 how to fix?
Is the power cord plugged in all the way? Try a different power cord if you see no indication of power. If that doesn't fix it, you might have a bad power supply. Electrolytic capacitors in the power supply are a common failure component and it might be cheaper to repair than to replace. I am a repair technician and was able to repair my two AOC televisions for less than $3 by replacing 4 electrolytic capacitors. You will need to pay a technician for parts and labor.

it is repairable, as long as it isnt the screen thats broken you may have a bad power supply you can exchange it and repair your set
it happens most of these tv's go out becuase of power supplies go bad or develope circut fualts.
it is a 46 inch and that is a expensive size so in my opinion it is okay to have it fixed

If the backlight of the LCD-panel does not function, (no picture) then Master and/or Slave inverter are defective. Inverter boards are screwed to both sides of the LCD display, if they have revision 1.2 boards then they will need replaced with revision 1.3 boards.
