Wireless router connection problems

I used to use my netgear wireless router at my house with verizion I did not hook it up myself i now it will work plugged in but when I try to set up the wireless router it will not work I think i don't know the network security key

On the back of the device is a reset button. Hold this in for 15-30 seconds and that will reset the device to factory default. This will make your wireless unsecured, allowing connection. Log into the router and resetup your wireless and you will be able to set your new encryption key.

That is very possible. I would reset the router by reset switch on back. Also both routers will tend to build up a static charge loosing the connection. You can unplug it for 10 seconds and replug in.

I would also try setting up new home network using automatic settings.
