Question about LGDVT418 System

My lgdvt418 is 10 years old and won't put out sound. How do I fix this problem without buying a new system?

My lgdvt418 is 10 years old. It seems there isn't enough juice to put out sound. Shows that the unit is on. But no sound. It's been doing this for last few months. Turn the volume up to 11 out of 40 and it used to kick on. Put below that mark after it started working and sound cuts out. Now it won't even do that. How can I fix this and not have to for over $$$ for an entirely new system???

Had same problem, fixed it by turning off at wall, wait 30sec, unplug antenna, turn back on, will say poor signal, click to another station at this point, should change OK. Switch all off again, plug in antenna, start up as normal, should be fixed.

LG's bottom mounts have had problems with air leaks in freezer making a iceball right under the evaperator fan actually coming close enough to the fan blades to slow them down or stop them all together also causeing the FFerror meaning the control board is not detecting the normal RPM's you should to keep it cool enough. Suggestion take the back panel off and remove any ice carefully if this be the problem. Make sure all doors are closeing tightly and gaskets make a air tight close.

You didn't say what year your car is, but if it's more than 10 years old, it's possible that your battery cables are corroded inside the cable itself. You may also want to check for a lose cable connection to the starter. A clicking sound usually means that your battery does not have enough power to crank the motor. Make sure the battery you just put in is fully charged or try a jump start for extra juice. If non of that solves the problem, you may need to replace the starter.

It could be, but I would start with something much simpler like the battery. What happens when you try to start the car. Do you hear anything? If your battery is more than 5 years old it probably doesn't have enough juice to start the car (but it might have enough power to light up all the lights)

The answer is straightforward. The main power amp has gone. If you are lucky it's a single IC unit which you will find on a big heat sink. It might look like the one shown below.
You will of course need to de-solder it and resolder a new one. The type needed to replace it will be shown by the letters and number on the IC itself.

Shifter ?? why do you bother with a lazy mans gearbox ,nothing but trouble cant beat the manual version ,from your description it sounds like a inhibitor switch failure but i couldnt be sure without the old one cell brain box under the bonnet to be sure

Fan motor is probably bad, if it is under 5 years old the parts are under warranty. Do not run the unit for very long without the fan working as it can damage the compressor.

It's really up to you, to decide whether you want your refrigerator to be fix or replaced and buy a new one. You need to calculate the cost between repair cost and the price of a new refrigerator. Which one is suited your budget plus the convenient of the trouble free unit for many years to come.
Since your refrigerator is about 12 years old already and it's undergo several repair, including the most expensive compressor replacement. I think it's economical to spend for a brand new unit.
New unit have service warranty of about one year, it will take many years before it undergo service repair if you use and treat it with proper care.
