This is either the flourescent bulbs are going out or the power supply has bad capactors on it. You might open it up and look at the power supply board for capacitors with their ends that look like they are "erupting" on the ends.. this means they need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Won't turn on

This is a problem with either the power supply or or logic circuit. It could also be caused by a failure in the back light circuits. One of these problems has caused the power supply to go into protection mode and will not turn on due to bad voltages sensed in the feedback circuits. Return to dealer for service. Hope this helps you .

SOURCE: the monitor turns on and connects to my computer then turn off but the power stays on. any ideas?

Make sure the external VGA port on your laptop is enabled. Not all laptops automatically detect a monitor connected and turn on the port. There will be a function key somewhere on the keyboard to control the port. Location varies by manufacturer and model. The usual sequence when you press the key is: laptop display on and external VGA off, laptop off and VGA on, both on.

SOURCE: Monitor has no display with the computer on and

Check the cables and also try it with another PC first, if it is the monitor problem, then you will have to open it up and look for bad caps as shown in my pictures here:

Screen goes blank when first turned on, have to keep restarting m

Hello,

If you turn the monitor off then about 1020 sec turn it back on and have a picture for five sec again it sound like the power supply in the monitor. but if that did not solve the problem, the picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault and will need to be replace.

I advice you replace the picture board on the screen of your monitor to solve the problem of the blank screen.

Take care.

Screen cutting out

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

HP w19 display is messed up in many ways!

I am wondering if the monitor is close to some other electrical device like a TV. Try hitting the degausing button if it has one. This is like a monitor reset button and removes stray magnetic forces from the monitor.
most monitors do have them amongst their array of buttons or on the rear might also be a pinhole, but be carful incase you touch a live wire

My monitor keeps going to a black screen a coulpe of seconds after being turned on

Video (picture) must be constantly entering a monitor for a monitor to continue to display a picture after it self tests (goes on for a second or, two) Your monitor is fine; check it using another known good computer.

Power on but display cuts out

Sounds like the backlight's gone. You can try to open up the case and replace it, but an easier (and probably cheaper) option is to simply buy a new monitor

No picture

If you mean you hooked up an external monitor and you want to see the display there. Well there should be a Fn key combo to toggle the displays. It should be one of the keys that looks like a monitor plus the Fn key at the same time. Otherwise go into the Control Panel -> Display -> Settings and you can switch to the other monitor there. Hope this helps.

IC POWER CM2017 LCD MONITOR

Normally when this type of problem happens, the first suspect would be the inverter board, then the filter capacitors and lastly the mainboard.
A defect in one of the lamps and faulty inverter IC may cause the display to shutdown as well. If the lamp is defective, it will send a feedback and cause it to stop producing output signal thus the display just shut off once you switch in ON.
