When I turn the computer on the monitor displays a picture but after a few seconds the picture cuts off but the green light stays on.
SOURCE: Won't turn on
This is a problem with either the power supply or or logic circuit. It could also be caused by a failure in the back light circuits. One of these problems has caused the power supply to go into protection mode and will not turn on due to bad voltages sensed in the feedback circuits. Return to dealer for service. Hope this helps you .
SOURCE: the monitor turns on and connects to my computer then turn off but the power stays on. any ideas?
Make sure the external VGA port on your laptop is enabled. Not all laptops automatically detect a monitor connected and turn on the port. There will be a function key somewhere on the keyboard to control the port. Location varies by manufacturer and model. The usual sequence when you press the key is: laptop display on and external VGA off, laptop off and VGA on, both on.
