Frigidaire Freezer acting goofy

Make sure everything is clean of debris and I would personally see if you could cool the area around the unit. Maybe use a fan or turn the air down in that room. Humidity and hot temps kill a unit's sealed system.

If you replace the starter on the compressor unit and start capacitor and timing unit, will work as new. good luck, take ur unit upstairs next time. Russ

Basement flooded and chest freezer was down there. Any chance the freezer will work again or is it junk?

Yes it will work again. But I would not trust it. If you do want to use it you will want to let it dry out fre at least one week.

Upright frigidaire commercial freezer has no power, we had a flood in the basement. I unplugged it now the the water is gone, it will not power back on. Is there a reset button or did the moror fry from...

Water damage is hard to remove because it could have goten to the electrical parts: motor, compressor, timer, etc.. while it was still running. you need a volt meter to test these parts out no reset sorry

if it was running with water then toss it out...

Upright freezer

If it has a fan in the freezer it need to be running to circulate the cold air.
If the coils are not icing up evenly from top to bottom you have a system low on freon.
The light frosting is normal.
A model number would really help to troubleshoot the problem.
