Hi, there is no free lunch in this world. That is not how your average legitimate software companies hire quality assurance personnel. Do you have special skills in the software they want tested? Is this $ 10k being paid in cash or in free software? Ask if you will be testing a Beta version or a commercial package that has been released. Ask if you will be an employee or a 1099 contractor. Ask for references from other people who have worked for them. If they do not have good answers, then I would be very wary. Ask to see a copy of the contract for your services. Good companies do not hire or pay people without a contract.
If it sounds to good to be true, than chances are 100% it's a hoax.
Let me guess, don't you have to pay some small amount to become a tester?
