Stereo Turns On By Itself

My AIWA CX NMTD9 turns on by itself everyday at the same time. How can I get it to stop?

You must have the timer set. Press CLOCK/TIMER button repeatedly until the clock symbol or the word REC with the clock symbol disappears.

Check with AIWA they might be able to supply the Operating instructions free. Some have them as a PDF on the website.

Awia sound system/ model number-cx-nmtd9 turns on and shuts down


Faulty internal power supply or ic component....best replace the system rather than repair, more economical .

My Aiwa cx-nma545 keeps turning off.


Your system is in 'Eco' mode. If you are in this mode, and go 10 minutes without playing a CD or cassette, it will automatically turn itself off.

Here's how you get out of 'Eco' mode:

1) Go to the jog wheel assembly
2) Press 'Eco'
3) Press 'Enter'
4) The display will show "Eco Mode On"
5) Immediately turn the jog wheel, to turn the status from 'On' to 'Off'

Have Aiwa CX-NA555 with 3-CD turntable. CD's won't play because belt that connects motor to screw-drive on turntable is broken. Where can I get part number and/or replacement belt? Tx.


i have an aiwa cx-na555, the turn table want work the belt is good however when the table slides in it does not raise the turntablr motor into position because the yrllow does not unlock the turntable, its as though it is out of time, ineed help

Turning off auto on at fixed time


check and replace the switch of your shelf system may be it malfunctioning
