If the following error message appeared in your DSi or DSI XL: "An error
has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system
off...", It means that your Nintendo has been updated (by the Internet)
to the version 1.4.2 (or 1.4.3) or you bought it updated. In this case
your DSi XL or DSi doesn't work with any flashcard in the market.
If
you don't have an updated flashcard, the solution requieres both
"updating the kernel of your flashcard" and also "patching it". I hope it helps you.
Simple fix... stop pirating and buy the games.
The message ''An error has occurred'' is a typical message which many users have encountered on their DSi, DSi XL, 3DS and Wii. It happens when either a blocked modchip or flashcart is detected by the console.
A Brother MFC-8840D reported an Error 6A on the panel after a short power-outage
that occurred. Calling Brother indicated that the error reflects that.
To
clear the error, the procedure is as follows: 1. Turn off printer 2. Hold
down MENU button on front panel and turn on power while continuing to
hold. 3. Release button after 5 seconds (after the Please Wait message) 4.
If error still occurs: 5. Press 91 6. If error still occurs: 7. Press
99
Contact Nintendo for this problem, it looks like the firmware went corrupted, maybe some one has used a bad flash adapter to play backuped games.
Don't tell them the part of maybe some one used a bad flash adapter, becouse they then won't help you anymore or will cost you alot of mony to get it fixed.
Also try to reset the dsi to the standard settings, this can wipe everything on the dsi, making backups is recomended. A factory reset on the DSi can be performed by holding down every button minus those of the d-pad and turning the system on.
