Recently got a Epson Stylus Office TX600FW from a friend - have downloaded drivers for my mac etc and the computer has added the printer - however when I go to print a document although I can see the document on the printer menu it either prints in code or the printer just feeds blank pages through the machine what are we doing wrong?

are you using leopard os x? when you said you loaded the driver for the printer, did you use the disk that came with the printer?

You might be having a clogged nozzles, if you want you can try to dismantle and check on the nozzles, heres the link on how to check it just click HERE

I found this answer on Apple.com support discussions.  Worked for me.  There is more information available on the discussion, but this was enough to fix my problem. Try Page Setup. Select to format for your printer. The choices for different all media should now be available under the Paper Size. This is a change from previous practice of creating a separate printer for each type of media.

Reset your printer. Look for printer resetter , its a utility third party program. Or in search of web browser just key in " epson reset software"

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?

ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc. These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.
