Carrier A/C in RV won't run

Fan will run in fan only mode...but when you turn it to cool it will kick off. the green light is blinking 5 times. and there is a red light flashing... it was cooling great and then it seemed not to be cooling very well. turned unit off and let set a few hrs. turned back on and was not cooling turned off and cleaned filters(they were not really dirty) replaced them and turned unit back on and it ran about 5 to 10 minutes and shut off and will not come back on.

MY RV Carrier AC has a blink 5 pause then blinks 5 again. Unpluged circuirt board and the fan and compressor will come on for a minute or so and the nothing no fan no compressor. The fan mode works

Well I'm not sure what model unit you have but I found a manual online for the AirV series that has a 5 flash code. States that to be a compressor drive issue. If yours is an AirV series, call a technician. No help in the manual.

I have a Carrier RV Air V air conditioner. I turn

Have fan start capacitor checked/replaced by licensed tech, or electrician as they are very dangerous to work with if not experienced and can give a very high voltage shock, that could be fatal. They basically store and increase voltage to higher range for start up of fan and compressor.

Carrier Air V roof mount with remote. Does not cool. On light blinks 5 times then repeats blink code. What does the 5 blink code mean?

We have the same problem as of this morning . . . don't have the fix yet, but have located (2) manuals that I will enclose the links for. The 5 flashing green lights is mentioned in the "Service Manual" in Section 2 "Troubleshooting" with 5 possible remedies. Manual http://www.transportaircon.carrier.com/Files/Bus/Local/US-en/T298.pdf and Parts List http://www.transportaircon.carrier.com/Files/Bus/Local/US-en/T298PL.pdf We're under warranty so will take our RV in ASAP

Compressor not kicking on

What type of thermostat are you using? When was the last time it worked ? Do you just get fan on cool mode, or does fan only run on fan mode?
