Raymarine a50d continuously resetting itself?

I have a Raymarine A50D fishfinder/gps which keeps turning itself on and off. It loads the raymarine screen then just goes to a black screen with the cursor but not one of the buttons will work. I have tried a factory reset but it doesn't even alow me to do that. There was 12.6 volts running from the battery so I dont think power is the issue. Is anybody able to help me with this?

If there's a memory card installed for maps, try starting up the unit with it removed. It's possible that the card might be corrupted and stalling the start-up sequence.

A50D

In general, you should be ablt to go to the settings page and one of the items will be units. Go to that page to change the units. Raymarine has an extensive on line set of usermanuals for more detail.

Hello
The fault is due to some firmware bugs. Just reset the system. Go to page [143] of its user manual, and make system reset and settings & data reset. OK.

To reset the A Series unit... power down the unit. Then PRESS AND HOLD the #1 Soft Key (left most button on below the display window) while you power up the unit. The unit display will come up quickly... then will go to a white screen that says " RESET IN 3...2...1...". Screen will then kick off. That is the MASTER RESET of the unit.

If you continue to see the unit lock up after that, if you have a seperate chart card that you use (Navonics), try running the unit with and without the card. You may find that the Chart Card is causing the unit to lock up. If not, you likely will have to send in the A50D for repair to NH.

Contact Raymarine or your nearest Raymarine dealer. Raymarine normally has those things on their website although it's a bit cryptic to find sometimes.

If both plotter works but they have no comunikation
RESET the RL 70 AND L760
This is how it works
press the powerbutton when you have picture press the menu bottom
than systemsetup and than four seconds the menu bottom.
Do this on both plotter normaly after this it works again
