Use a multi meter and check ur water pressure switch? that is what sends the machine the message to start wash cycle?
You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube.
If the machine starts to wash. the pressure switch is more than likely good
( No wash- then THE DIAPHRAGM IS BAD AND SWITCH HAS TO BE REPLACED) another test u can do is Remove the hose and submerge in water. Seal one end and blow air into the other end and look for bubbles. Check for an obstruction in the hose as well.
Or take the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into it AT the other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and u dont feel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ?
Sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphragm to not open.

Another test u can make with a multi meter is by testing the prongs individually.
# 15,16,17 (don't worry to much bout the numbers IF U GET THEM WRONG) place ur meter prongs on both out side prongs or connectors of the switch.
(where the wire plugs into) take note of weather it shows OHMS or infinity ( open or close circuit) ? Now place the meter on the left outside and the middle prong, take note agin what it shows. Now place meter prong on the right outside and the middle prong. Agin take note what reading u get. ( you should actually get a reading of infinity in 1 and a reading of continuity or ohms in the other 2? Now the tricky part. Agin place a small tube or hose into the switch and blow into it, using the meter do the same test agin on all prongs. But now keep the pressure on the switch when u blow into it, in other words use ur tongue on one end of tube to not allow air to escape. When u test it agin now one of the prongs that once read infinity should now show continuity or ohms, and 1 of the other prongs that read ohms should now read infinity or open.

My Kenmore washer Mod. #110.25102311 has low water level!

If the water levels are low in your washing machine then you could have a sensor that is faulty . The fill sensor will communicate with the control board when the washer is full to turn off the water . The fill sensor needs to be replaced for the water levels inside of your washing machine.

Hi, I have a pronto me712 coffee machine and the water level sensor shows empty even when full. Is this a common fault with these machines and does anyone know how to bypass the sensor? Cheers Iaian.

I don't know if its a common failure, but its the floater which is stuck. remove all the water from the and shake it a few times. If you hear something moving in there, its fine. If not, then you need to check why.

My washer keeps saying err bush hw60_1460d

Oh boy I hope you're in the UK cuz that is a British unit here are the error code explanations
Error 1
Washing machine door lock has failed to operate or respond
The washing machine has detected an error with the door safety lock or interlock preventing operation.
Check door is closed and latched correctly
Check wiring
Check door lock
Error 2
Water drain time out or failure
The washing machine has failed to drain the water in a reasonable time, nominally in six minutes.
Check that filter is not blocked or obstructed
Check drain hose is clear of any blockage or obstruction
Check wiring to drain pump
Check drain pump is not defective
Check level sensor or switch
Check wiring to level sensor
Error 3
Not drained in time allowed - washing machine fails to drain water
Check that filter is not blocked or obstructed
Check drain hose is clear of any blockage or obstruction
Check wiring to drain pump
Check drain pump is not defective
Check level sensor or switch
Check wiring to level sensor
Error 4
Washing machine has detected problem with the wash heater
For this error code you need to check both the water heater or element and thermistor, the washing machine is reporting a fault on the heating circuit with this fault code but it is not capable of identifying exactly where the fault actually lies.
Check water heating element
Check heater for contunuity
Check thermistor or temperature sensor
Check the thermistor resistance
Check wiring to water heating element
Check connections to water heating element and temperature sensor
Error 5
Not drained in time allowed - washing machine fails to drain water
Check water supply is on, clear and not frozen
Check the air chamber and pressure sensor hose for blockages
Check water inlet valve
Check wiring to water inlet valve
Check connections to water inlet valve
Check the main control PCB
Error 6
Motor heat protector error or failure
The washing machine has detected an error on the washing machine's main drive motor circuit in relation to teh overheat protector within the motor itself.
Check motor connector block
Check motor carbon brushes where fitted
Check wiring
Check tacho connections
Check motor
Error 7
Motor error or failure
The washing machine has detected an error on the washing machine's main drive motor circuit but, like other errors cannot pimpoint he exact location or nature of the fault.
Check motor connector block
Check motor carbon brushes where fitted
Check wiring
Check tacho connections
Check motor
Error 8
Washing machine has detected an overfill situation
This error code can be caused by overfoaming which is a result of overloading (see this article) or by overdosing or, incorrect detergent as the pressure sensor will falsely read that there is too much water in the washing machine.
Also check the pressure sensor and that the machine has not actually overfilled with water.
Check for overfoaming or over soaping
Check the air chamber and the pressure switch hose
Check water level sensor
Check wiring to water pressure sensor
Check connections to water level sensor
Check main electronic controller
UNb
Washing machine has detected an out of balance situation
This error code is caused by an imbalanced of incorrect load in the washing machine
Check for overfoaming or over soaping
Check the air chamber and the pressure switch hose
Check water level sensor
Check wiring to water pressure sensor
Check connections to water level sensor
Check main electronic controller

Hi i have a lg washing machine wft8061dd,can u please tell me why PE appear when it turn on

Water level sensor fault This fault code is fairly self-explanatory and tells you that the washing machine has detected an error with the pressure sensor or pressure switch. It is rare to see this error code on LG washers.
On non-display panel models this fault code can be shown by the lights for fuzzy, heating and speedy or super, normal and hold being lit or flashing.
  • Check water level sensor
  • Check wiring to water pressure sensor
  • Check connections to water level sensor
  • Check main electronic controller

E5 error on Onida washing machine Need solution

5E. This means the washing machine has a "water drain error". It's basically timed out on empty, it's tried draining out the water for 10 minutes and the water level still hasn't fallen below a specified level (or at least it thinks it hasn't). This error should be reset by pressing the Start/Pause button though if there is a fault it will need fixing or the error will just return.
A washing machine not emptying the water can have various causes as can a washing machine thinking it hasn't drained the water because it's possible that the signal telling the machine that the water has gone can sometimes not be triggered if a fault in the pressure system prevents it.
To troubleshoot this problem the first thing to check is the pump filter, which could be blocked. I have extensive advice on diagnosing pump faults here Washing machine won't drain water (stuck full of water) ' Faults on pressure system

    Water sensor

common faults include the rubber pressure hose rubbing and a hole forming causing the pressure switch not to recognise the water level. un plug the appliance, take the top off, find the pressure switch and you will see a rubber black or clear hose running from what is normally a circular item approx 2" diameter and a hose running doen to the drum, check this hose for splits or tears.

Will not rinse and will not empy water out and will not spin

Possible fault in the water level sensor. IF the sensor does not work then the program controller will not proceed to go to the next cycle as it thinks there is no water to rinse. similar problem when it does not spin or activate the drain.

Washer won't fill or start cycle fault codes indicate pump failure. Changed the pump but problem persists

Seems that the controller thinks your machine is full of water. Water level pressure sensor may be sticky. May be blockage down air line to pressure sensor - try blowing into sensor end to clear.
(Always disconnect from power before attempting repairs).
