Hi, Your LG HDTV is in protect mode that why you can see light .To protect further damage of some component
parts. There is something internal problem inside maybe there is a
shorted or leak capacitor in power supply section.
Make sure your TV is turned off at the power switch for at least half an hour. Undo the two screws on the lamp cover which is on the right hand side of the TV as you look at the screen.
Remove retaining screws on lamp case.Lift up fixed wire handle on lamp. Pull out knob slowly and remove lamp case. Insert new lamp gently. Tighten screws. Replace cover.Reset lamp time on menue.
ure bulb will be on the way out go into the menu and there should be a lamp counter if its close to 8000 hours then its due for one, check ebay for cheapest price as they arnt under warranty
My LG lcd tv did something similar, kept making a clicking noise every minute or so. In the end i took the back off and checked could see there was one popped capacitor on the power board. Replaced for £3 and has worked fine ever since.
Hope this helps
