To get into the SP mode on this Ricoh printer, follow the below steps.
1) Press the Home button on the printer's panel.
2) Now, press the Reset key.
3) Enter the numbers 1, 0, and 7 on the number pad.
4) Press and hold the C key.

To enter SP mode you need to follow this steps:
Press yellow key.
Enter 107 in the key pad.
Press red key for 3 sec.
And you are in SP mode.
Hi, in order to activate the double count for A3 paper, you have to go into "special" SP mode. The procedure is almost the same as going into regular SP mode, but as you hit "Copy SP" on the touch screen, make sure you are holding down the pound (#) key. Then you should be able to find 5104.
You can only change 5104 once, so one you enable it you won't be able to change it back to counting larger paper as 1 click instead of 2.
nashuatec 2205 equivalent to ricoh 1022/220 and the problem of sc542 means that you termistor is out of order. Don't panic,with little patient you could solve it.
Firstly,switch off the machine, then take out the fuser unit after you open the lateral door. Below the unit,you will see 2 termistor unit with red contact.Replaced it both with new unit.Reinsrt it the fuser unit back and closed the lateral door.
Switch on the copier, you must go in sp mode . First
push the yellow[c] button follow by button1,0,7 then
push red button[cancel] for several seconds until you in sp mode revealed by the screen.Switch off the copier for 1-2 minutes then switch it on,wa la it working back. It will cost you compare to calling the technician
Press 'Function Clear', 1, 0, 7, then press and hold 'Clear/Stop' button for 3 secands. Machine displays SP Mode. Now turn MAIN power switch off for 5 seconds. Turn MAIN power switch back on. This should reset SC 547 code. (Main power switch is located on the left side of the copier)
You could try going into the sp modes and check sp 5052-1 this is for independent toner check if the toner cartridge was checked by the copier as empty and you refilled it the machines check of the chip still senses it empty by turning this off it could reset it for you .. I have had some mixed results sometimes it works only occasional failure.. Hope it helps Good Luck A

Release the clear/stop key. press the clear/stop key again. Press the lighter key. The number "5" will now flash in the display.Enter "96" using the number keys.When you have enter the code,Press Print, cut copier off then on.
