Why would the tv say no signal - Televison & Video

The signal meter should show you available TV transmitters. If you have received a signal at this location before and you definitely are sure it is powered up the antenna is defective. Check for anything that appears loose or broken. If the meter indicates a signal check the cable that goes to the TV.

No,This tv is a CRT tv-(Tv Tube).All small tvs with CRTS design are analoge tvs.Tv must have a Converter box to convert for analoge tv to DTV signals to recieve for free broadcasting DTV tv stations signal.Must have pay signals like satalite Dishes,Cables or Telecoms signals.This tv can be use without a Converter box.

This tv is analog tv,will not get today free air tv broadcasting signal.Today free air tv signal are all digital free air broadcasting tv signal now.Anolog tv must have a pay cables tv or satalites tv signals to get a picture on analog tv set.U want analog tv to get the free air digital tv broscasting signal.The analog tv,must have it broadcasting tv signal must go through a box call a Converter box to able to produced a Digital free air broadcasting signal for analog tv to get a digital broadcasting tv signal.

The TV will flash this "No Signal" when it does not see a live signal at the selected input of your TV.

It sounds like the signal at the TV's input is not good to the TV, or the main board in the TV is having a problem and processing the signals correctly.

Try selecting a different woring device connected to the TV's input like HDMI1, Component1, or ..... to see if other inputs are working on the TV.

sounds like you need a new tuner replaced or the ssb(small signal board) inspected. The tuner recieves the cable signal and converts it into an intermidiate signal which in turn the ssb processes into audio and video signal.

It is not a matter if your TV is compatible with a digital signal, it is the signal being offered to the TV.
Meaning, if you are using Cable TV, you are fine and need no further action because the digital signals are already converted by the Cable Box into either an analog TV (RF) signal, or a PBR (RGB or Comp.Video) signal which the TV understands via a separate input (external video input).
