More than 150V is how many volts precisely? Put a bulb of 220V 60W across the capacitor and test again. If voltage does not drop to normal, check power supply components or replace the STRX6750. Don't forget to replace the optocoupler too.

Check all the other components, at related SMPS circuit, for any loose solder terminals. Check and replace damaged component/s at it main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. JVC THS 55 DVD Player power supply not working. I tried replacing STR G6651, but still not coming ON. I am getting 12.6V on STR supply pin. What could be the problem?

Hello Terence, for what you are saying, that you have 12.6 volts in leg 4 (Supply) of STR G6551, according to the data sheet, it is low, it starts working from 14.4 volts, typical 16 volts and maximum 17, 6 volts
you would have to check the values of the power resistances of leg 4, also the capacitors and the optocoupler
I send you link to the JVC THS 55 DVD service manual and the STR G6551 data sheet
I hope you manage to make your JVC THS 55 DVD work
Greetings Franco Dosil

After turning off my Samsung LED TV, the Stand by light will not come on. Unplugging the TV for a few minutes and plugging it back in will bring it back. Is this the Power Supply?

Yes, it is the high voltage circuit. My Samsung got worse and worse until it did not turn on anymore. Searched the web and said that was the capacitor rated 100 uf at 450 volts. I measured 380 volts at the capacitor. Had saved a 150 uf and a 220 uf at 400 volts. Tried the 220 uf first but was only a little better, but both 150 uf and 220 uf in parallel fixed the problem. Measured the voltage at 391 volts.

The speed will change the 'frequency' too. You need to make sure you still have 60 Hz. You may have need a voltage regulator adjustment, not a speed adjustment.

Years of good service...now it keeps blowing fuse

The voltage of the fuse is not the issue. It sounds like you may have some blown internal transistors (probably in the output area). Time for a trip to the repair shop I'm afraid.
