You should not need to reset the locking system after changing a battery on the key fob. Did the fob ever work before the battery was changed?
Try this:
Press and hold the remote control button down for more than 10 seconds, the red light on the key will go out. Now press it again 3
times. Check that the doors lock and unlock correctly.

I have a 2005 renault megane scenic the battery keeps going flat, i have replaced the battery, the cam sensor but it keeps going flat any idea
Alternator problems may be. Check if that gets the charge while engine's running.

lubricate all joints and car door lock actuator, otherwise replace car door lock actuator.......

I have a renault megane 1998, central locking suddenly stopped working tested key fob thats OK
It could be your onboard computer or locking module, as the guy next door had an identical problem on his Megane. A tech came and changed a module then programmed the 'brains'.

I changed the batteries in the key fob of my renault megane scenic and now it does not work and i cant start the car, can i bypass this? the year of the car is 1999.
i have not tried this myself but i have been reliably informed that it should work on the 99 renaults

With ignition off, press and hold the key fob button, after about 10 seconds the light on the key will stop flashing, press the key fob button three times and if the key will resyncronise it will at this point operate the locking system.

Megane Scenic Dash Lights
Possible accesory power relay staying on due to an internal fault. It is above the fuses in the glovebox. Try sitting in the car, locking it then giving the relay a tap

I had the same problem with mine

your key fob is now out of sync with the ECU to sync them just follow this link (renault will charge up to £180 for new key and to sync it)
