The esp bas light is on my 2009 dodge 1500 and it won't start

An Electronic Stability Program (ESP)/Brake Assist System (BAS) indicator is standard equipment on all instrument clusters. The ESP/BAS indicator is serviced as a unit with the instrument cluster.
The ESP/BAS indicator gives an indication to the vehicle operator when the Electronic Stability Program (ESP)/Brake Assist System (BAS) has been activated. This indicator is controlled by a transistor on the instrument cluster circuit board based upon cluster programming and electronic messages received by the cluster from the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB) and the Transmission Control Module (TCM) over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus.
The ESP/BAS indicator Light Emitting Diode (LED) is completely controlled by the instrument cluster logic circuit, and that logic will only allow this indicator to operate when the instrument cluster receives a battery current input on the fused ignition switch output (run-start) circuit. Therefore, the LED will always be OFF when the ignition switch is in any position except ON or START. The LED only illuminates when it is provided a path to ground by the instrument cluster transistor. The instrument cluster will turn ON the ESP/BAS indicator for the following reasons:
  1. Bulb Test- Each time the ignition switch is turned to the ON position the ESP/BAS indicator is illuminated for about four seconds as a bulb test.
  2. ESP/BAS Indicator Lamp-On Message- Each time the cluster receives an electronic ESP/BAS indicator lamp-ON message from the CAB indicating that the ESP/BAS system has been activated, the ESP/BAS indicator will be illuminated. The indicator remains illuminated until the cluster receives a lamp-OFF message from the CAB, or until the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, whichever occurs first.
  3. ESP Full Off Textual Message- Each time the cluster receives an electronic ESP Full OFF indicator lamp-ON message from the CAB indicating that the ESP/BAS system has been manually disabled, an ESP OFF textual message will appear within the cluster odometer display. The ESP OFF textual message remains displayed until the cluster receives a lamp-OFF message from the CAB, or until the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, whichever occurs first.
  4. Actuator Test- Each time the cluster is put through the actuator test, the ESP/BAS indicator will be turned ON, then OFF again during the bulb check portion of the test to confirm the functionality of the LED and the cluster control circuitry.
The CAB continually monitors the ESP/BAS circuits and sensors to decide whether the system is in good operating condition and the proper outputs to the components of the system. The CAB then sends the proper lamp-ON or lamp-OFF message to the Electro Mechanical Instrument Cluster (EMIC) (also known as the Cab Compartment Node/CCN).
For proper diagnosis of the ESP/BAS system, the CAB, the TCM, the EMIC, the CAN data bus or the electronic communication related to the ESP/BAS indicator operation a diagnostic scan tool is required. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information.

Esp bas light on what is that

our Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Indicator Light / Brake Assist System (BAS) Warning Light is a common issue with Chrysler's. The first thing to check is the electrical system. Remove the battery posts and clean them well. Next is to check the ground connection at the bulkhead, under the hood and the positive connections at the fuse box and boost pin. If all that checks out OK, check under the main fuse box for loose / corroded plugs and wires. These are the known, common problems. The fluctuation in power would cause the PCM to momentarily go into limp mode causing bucking on decell. Also have the OBD trouble codes read, including the ABS system.
To reset the ESP/BAS light, with the engine running, in park turn the wheel right to left, lock to lock twice.

My dash is displaying "BAS/ESP" light, and I've had to charge the battery just to get the vehicle started. Every time I turn off the car, the next day it will be dead again.

You have a bad relay fuse. Located in you fuse box under hood. Found this out on my own 2mts ago.ESP/BAS would only stop when battery cable was disconnected. Have not had another problem.

I have an 06 Dodge Magnum. ESP/BAS light

Whenever this warning or any other stays on in the dash it id indicating that the systems control module has detected a fault, it then disables the system as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

What does esp bas mean and the slippery when wet symbol displays on the dash board?

This light comes on when the computer sees the wheels spin, for example if a wheel spins faster than another this light will come on , this is to tell you its slippery out, if this light stays on then there may be a problem with the system and a scan tool is needed to see what the problem is, the computer will store codes listing what part of the system has failed and it will turn the system off because its not working correctly.also some cars have a switch where you can turn the system off yourself, the dash would then say esp/bas off but if it just stays on then you have a problem with the system, if it turns on and goes back off then its okay. good day.

BAS/ ESP light on the dash bord stays on all time the car engine is running

The BAS stands for Brake Assist System, don't remember what ESP stands for.
But the first thing to do is make sure the brake lights go on when you hit the pedal.
If not, then replace the brake light switch above the pedal.
If that is not it, it could be many things, such as a bad lateral acceleration switch.
