I dug up my old Canon Elan 7e and put new batteries in the Vertical Grip Battery Pack BP300, but it's still dead. Anything I can try before bringing in to a camera shop, or selling both the camera and...

Take off the BP300 and put in the appropriate batteries in the camera. If the camera works without the BP300, you know the problem is in the battery pack. If not, you know the problem is in the camera. On eBay, you can replace the camera body for about $35 and the battery pack for about $20.

Hope that helps,

Can I upload my pictures from my elan II directly to my computer (like a digital camera)?

No. The images are on film and must be processed chemically before anything becomes visible. Any camera store and many drugstores and even supermarkets can process the film and scan the images onto a CD, which can then be uploaded to your computer.

I have got an EOS Elan II E Film Camera (Cannon). I want to know Cannon has camera with a digital body which suits the lens attachment of EOS Elan II E.

Hi, all canon EOS digital cameras can take all EF lenses. An EF lens from 1989 will fit a Digital body from 2009.
The newer EF-S lenses will only work with the smaller APS-C size sensors on the cheaper consumer bodies.
