Question about Heating & Cooling

Vulcan Bonaire ducted heater fires up then stops before the fan turns on, it does this a few times before it starts working. Checked the diagnostic light and it flashes 7 times for error code 7. Have replaced flame sensor but problem is still there. Any suggestions?

Is this a ducted gas heater or a free standing gas heater???

I Also have the same and other problems with my furnace model # GDS80703AXBB. First the LED kept blinking 4 times and I too jumped the primary limit, that didn't kelp. After several attemps I moved the wires going to the circut board and everything starting working again. After a week It stopped working again, so I pulled the plug out of the circut board checked all wires for for a bad connection plugged it back in. Now the LED blinks 6 times again I move the wires. Then the LED blinks 3 times. Then the transformer burns out. I have burned out 2 transformers and I have ordered a new circut board.

I just went into the Bonaire website and downloaded their FAQ on gas ducted heating from their support link. Their instructions are pretty easy to understand.

The 4 flashes is a high limit or roll out switch is open. There are 2 or 3 little brown or black button looking switches with a little button on the top and a wire attached to each side. Press the button on each, you may hear a slight "click". If you do, that is the one that was open. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you are talking about the indoor fan that circulates air through house. Turn the unit off and make sure the fan rotates freely. Next check the capacitor for the fan. If it looks swollen its probably bad. If it doesn't look swollen then you will need a multimeter to check it with. If that's ok then check the fan relay. Let me know what you find.

I have a Vulcan CX90 ducted heating system, the fan cannot cut off even I stop the heating, anyone help?

Temperature delay is stuck, bang on the unit and it will stop if stuck. this is the old Vulcan company now.

No it cant really be fitted as the evap system uses much larger duct and also in some cases people use a different type of duct that when running a gas heater threw it it tends to melt with the heat. Your best option would be to get new ducting that way you can size it correctly so you dont have air alance issues down the track.

Vulcan ducted heating system 530 E (5 years old) have replaced AAA batteries on remote control but still not working. Thanks Michael

You have to recode the remote to the heater if the batteries have been removed for more than 3 minutes. On the comfort control will the remote is in a off state turn the heater off at the power.

While off press and hold the up button and the on/off until code appears then release buttons and turn the power back on to the heater.

When code disappears from the remote turn on the remote set the temp higher than current temp and combustion fan should start up then heater will fire up.

If not repeat process as they are easily corrupted by other remotes.

I purchased a house in October last year which has a Vulcan Bonaire Comfort Control ducted heating system, but no manuals. Am trying to work out how to use it. Remote control is not very intuitive.
