Hi, Can you help me to enter Menu service of an Lg 42lv5400, please ? Zaki
If you have the remote you should find a button labeled HOME. This button gets you into the menus. If you don't have the remote I believe the control buttons that are on the set are directly under the power-on led. They'll be very thin, possibly touch sensitive and difficult to see. You'll see a HOME lable there also. This acts the same as the home button on the remote.
Here's a link to the English user manual for your set, just in case you nee one....

Hope this lead you in the right dirrection.
Testimonial: "Yes, I have the remote control, but I want to get the SERVICE settings to trublesoot an issue of concentrated colors. This needs technics to access."
Here's a link to the service manual. Go to the download button in the middle of the page, not the one on top. It will make you wait a few minutes but will download a pdf. Please dont shoot the messanger. Your doing something I would try, and I know how it would turn out for me, bad.http://servicemanuals.pro/servicemanuals...

Testimonial: "Thank you. but this is the procedure to access the normal settings of the tv. I want to get the service settings to trublesoot an issue of concentrated colors after having changed the t-con board."
have you tried. menu + menu then ok + ok to enter service menu?
Neither the remote nor the tv have Menu or Ok, but instead they have Home and Enter.
And I tried both procedures, in vain.

I tried this several times but nothing happened.
Hi, I'm back again. I had to leave. The problem is still not resolved. I'll let you know once done. Many thanks for all of you.
1. Press and hold your power button till the tv turns off - wait till you hear the back-light clicking sound. 2. Turn tv back on 3. Immediately press home>Go to Setup (hit enter)>Go to Options *** At this point do not press enter*** Press the FAV key 7 Times. 4. Expert TV Software Window will appear - try this with 42lv5400
Do I have to use the remote or the TV board ? I tried both with no result. Just the fav key existe only on the remote control. Many thanks
