No, television don't generally have a reset button. Disconnecting from the mains power at the wall outlet for 10 minutes and holding the power button for 60 seconds is the reset. Or this which clears stored settings.

Yes, all televisions can be repaired. Just take it to a local television repair shop. Probably a power board issue, but these things need proper diagnostics.

I accidentally used my LG remote to turn off my SILO tv and it worked. Then I checked to see if it could control the volume and it did!

So, I programmed my cable remote to my SILO tv with an LG code and voila! I hope you have the same luck.

Mine had the same problem. If you go into the menu --> Parental control, type in default code ( 0000 or 8888) --> Then check the front panel lock to make sure it is on

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, make sure the MUTE function is not activated, then check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks (Red and White) to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find. Typical LCD flat panel repair will cost $150 and up plus parts.
