Unless you are very knowledgeable in electronics and wish to replace the two internal tab-soldered cells yourself (and finding capacity type required), you have only one resort. Buy a new battery pack. That is exactly what Pari wants. Too bad, because charging circuit board never fails. Only the 2 cells die prematurely.

there is so many things that could make the bike do this. I'm going to give you a list of things i would check.
fuel system, poor charging system, the ground wire both battery and body sides, spark plug wire and boot. give it a look over hope one will solve it.

it may be a different steering arm & required a collar insert which you may have not seen on the old pitman arm!
or ask the dealer if they have different sizes in the year models!
