Buy a "universal charger" wall wort. Most will chargs 1.5 VDC to 12 VDC in steps adjusted by a slide switch. The polarity of the tip is switchable from + to -, so be careful to switch the tip to the right polarity for your radio. Try to find one that has close to the same current output that the original charger had. Good Luck,
Longshorts.

How can I replace my battery and charger for my Remote Controlled TOY car.

OP text edited for clarity. Moved to a better category rather than Larry's computer category.

Try here. The search query will home in to where you live. Batteries are an easy replacement by type as is the charger. The controller not so easy.

I have some frs14nd radios and am looking for rechargable batteries for them. Contacted the company several years aga and they said they would send me some but never heard back. can you help, thanks randy

I couldn't locate a battery pack specifically marketed for the FRS14ND, but information I did find indicates that your radios will operate on standard AAA batteries.

Does columbia telecommunications group, inc have a website and if so what is it?

The last known contact information for Columbia Telecom is as follows:

Headquarters Location
174 Milbar Blvd., Farmingdale, NY 11735, United States
(631)501-5000
http://www.columbiatel.com

The bad news is, the company itself doesn't seem to exist anymore, other than bad consumer reviews and issues with company practices. The website is no longer valid either.

Missing parts

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear of your problem concerning the missing battery for your grandson's remote control car. You have posted your problem on Fixya which is a technical support community website with the objective of helping people find the solutions and information they're looking for as quickly and as easily as possible. It is not affiliated with any specific retailer or manufacturer.

Nonetheless, please check the manual that came with the toy car and determine if the batteries are really included as part of the package. There should be a list somewhere listing what's supposed to be inside.

If it is really part of the package, then the store where you bought it from should take care of it, if not ask for a replacement unit. Pls bring any documentations that can help you support your claim such as a receipt or proof of purchase.

Alternately, you can try stores who specializes in remote control toys. They should have replacement batteries of various models and sizes. Additionally, (and I'm guessing) you can try ordinary batteries for one time use or Nicads if you want it rechargeable. Perhaps if you can post back with brand/model and picture of the remote control car showing where the battery should be placed would help us get more information that we might be able to help you better.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back as requested.

Good luck and kind regards.

Happy Holidays!

Battery charger

Take a look at the plug on the end of the lead which comes from the charger then see if you can see a corresponding socket somewhere on the watch. You may have to remove a small plastic or rubber cover to find it or it may be behind a small door. It's got to fit somewhere, just keep looking. BMW
