Is the air coming out the front supposed to be angled to the right or is is supposed to pour out the entire front?

They only move the air slightly. They are not like a conventional fan.

They do not rotate.

They do work effectively for mold spores and dust. If yours has not been cleaned in a while remove the front element from above and spray the stainless bars down with an acidic claener like "Formula 409" and wipe them down after rinsing. On the unit itself unplug it and remove the front and rear grill br pressing a small tab at the bottom of the grille and push upwars. Be careful with front grille as there is an ionizing wire there towards the inside of the unit. If the unit has come from someone else, with an emery board and gentle pressure just make one pass witht he wire gently between board and your finger. drawing towards the spring loaded end. Do the same to the two wires inside the unit housing if present, Witht he rear grille removed, remove the bulb and wipe it down with a cleaner if needed- it should be clear. as it is a UV bulb.

Dust out hte base area with a small paintbrush and remove as much dust as you can from it. If need be a slighly damp rag cna also be used.

With the front of the Ionic breeze unit facing you, there are 2 conductive rubber strips that also need to be wiped down with a lsightly damp rag. They should be removing some black dust. Also wipe down the inside of the front being mindful of the two stainless wires.

Let unit dry off and reassemble.

With left knob turned to left- no light should appear. Turn knob to the right and the UV tube should light and the Boost button should light up blue when pressed once- and green when pressed a second time and then off if pressed a third time. It will only light when the left knob is turned to right.

The right knob adjusts "Low," "Medium" and "High" intensity of the high voltage applied to elements.

Alow unit to dry before powering it on.

A working system should raise the hairs on the back of you hand or give you some other sensation of moving air

Guy, there's only supposed to be 2- Ozone Plates/Screens in the Eagle 2500. The reason it probably would not run, is when you took the aluminum filter off the back, you failed to reinstall it properly. Look at the bottom edge of the filter. You should see a plastic prong sticking out. That's sort of a trigger. If you don't fit it in the slot on the housing of the cabinet properly, it won't trigger the safety switch and allow the unit to run when you turn the switch on the front ON. Just make sure the prong is much tightly into the unit.

behind the front panel fingerboard on each side there is a screw hidden. You have to very slightly and gently with a fine bladed knife pry up those left and right sides to expose the screw. Its a thin piece of plastic covering the screen. Be very careful because there are electronics imbedded in the fingerpad that you are prying up. Gently lift the sticky covering only enough to get to the screws. It can be done but be careful.

The Ionic Breeze filters air from the room into the front vents and releases ozone through the back vents back into the air. Some models you can put your hand near the back of the machine and feel a slight breeze. If you do not feel any air or the light that is on is red, the magnetic plates that capture the dust, etc. needs to be cleaned. Don't forget to turn the entire unit, after removing the magnetic plates, upside down to clear anything trapped near the bottom.

no that isn't normal. it should be coming out of both sides cause the air intake is in the back of the unit where the filters are. try to reset the unit but the pin hole at the top or unplugging the unit for about 10 seconds.... if that doesn't work i would call the manufacturer and to see what other ways or if the unit can be replaced.

on the bap1700 it is very quiet. i used to have one myself. sometimes you will feel the air and sometimes you won't all depends. if the fan is running than the unit is working properly. now if your hearing any noises or anything like that then there's a problem. but no to answer your question you didn't buy a lemon. if you have any other questions please let us know.

Unfortunately, I can't find that information, as the company is currently in Chapter 11 and has sold off all rights to it's products as of June. From my experience though, when the light begins to flash, it is supposed to be replaced. At least I had to replace one that way while under warranty.

Whenever you clean or replace the plate, you must also clean the contacts that touch the plate, and all supports for the contacts. Clean them with 70% or higher isopropyl alcohol and Q tips. You should also clean the ionization point with a Q tip and alcohol, remove and clean the fan and oil the fan motor front and rear with a drop or two of sewing machine oil. Replace the fan so that it is flush with the end of the shaft. Make sure that the contacts are firmly against the ozone plate when you replace it. They sometimes barely make contact and then don't work well. You can bend them enough to make them fit firmly.
