SOURCE: Refrigerator won't cool. Freezer works fine!
Pierce, there was a service bullitin put out on this model. TDR-0010A-B. Had to do with normal freezer, warm fresh food compartment. Maytag issued a kit that included a new thermostat and damper assy. to solve this problem. Bullitin came out in 2002. If you are not having a defrost issue and all fans are running normal, I would call Maytag and inquire about the above posted bullitin, It may be covered. Catriver...post back.
SOURCE: Maytag fridge made some clicking noises and then stopped cooling
For what it is worth. I had this problem twice and both times the compressor ad to be replaced. Ton this day it sounds like a pin pong game whenever it runs. No it is not the fans or the ice maker.
SOURCE: maytag refrigerator clicking
it sounds like
a bad:
the start
switch clicks off usually when the compressor is pulling too
many amps or the compressor is overheating. if the compressor is not even
running then its probably not overheating.
so either the compressor is pulling too many amps (bad compressor) or
the start switch is bad and cannot handle the amps required to start the
compressor.

Defrost the fridge, take everything out of freezer and turn off for at least a day, check the drain is clear after defrosted and try again, if it happens again you may need a new defrost heater of timer.

Sounds like the Freezer Fan is wearing out or is worn out. This fan problem is very hard to detect. The reason is that when the motor is starting to wear out the fan will spin, but at a much lower rpm. This is enough to keep the freezer cold. but will not ciculate enough air thru the freezer and the refrigerator to prevent freezer from and refrigerator from cooler. The cost to repair/replace this fan is a minimum of $300.00
Testimonial: "Your solution was right on the mark! The fan was spinning but not fast enough (according to my repair guy). Thanks again!"

The damper in the refrigerator is opening and closing. It is noisy though.
