Can I print onto acetate paper (clear sheets) with a brother 7440n printer?

Presumably you want to make transparencies. There are Transparencies available specifically for Laser printers and Copiers. Do not use anything else or they will melt around the fuser and wreck your machine. Fixable but expensive.

How can I print on acetate, tried but acetate just comes out and printer asks me to feed paper

Nothing wrong with your printer! Most printers detect paper presence with a LED. Problem is acetate
being clear the printer thinks the source tray is empty. :)

* Go down to an office supply store and buy acetate that has a 1/4" strip of opaque material on the short
edge.
* DIY. Take some permanent marker and with a ruler put a black stripe on the short edge. Let it dry. That
should let the printer sense that acetate is there.

How do i print onto acetate using an epson sx200; it doesn't recognise any paper... thanks

Some printers use a light sensor to tell if paper is loaded or not. If printing on clear acetate, try loading a regular sheet of paper under it. It should pull the acetate sheet through and leave the regular paper in tray. Since the Epson sx200 is an inkjet printer be careful not to smudge. I would allow a good 5 to 10 minutes to dry. Good luck!

I have an epson SX200 could you please tell me what paper type I go on to print on acetate. I remain hopeful

This product does not support acetate or OHP printing due to the relative inexpensive cost associated with the device epson marketed this for Photo printing and general B-W colour prints only. it is not recommended to print on acetate or OHP film.

HP 2600n prints some blue vertical lines

1 of 2 things: First, check yuor Cyan cartridge and make sure that it is not leaking. It may have a bad seal. If you replace it with a known good toner, the imaging unit (the black acetate thing) will need to be replaced. This is also a consumable unit.
