there is supposed to be an air gap between the sensor and the rotor so if it is wearing out then the gap is not there. This will also be a problem for the running
If it is just one plug that is fowling (oil or fuel) the go to a spares shop and get a hotter plug to burn off the fowling
Plugs come in heat ranges from cold to hot and are used specifically when problems occur.
also replace that HT lead as they break down in the centre and don't fire properly

Your fuel must be too rich or you are burning oil

Only one solution: disconnect, remove, replace, reconnect. Now then, how did you determined coolant temp sensor "not working"? Fault code?
Finally, no, a temp sensor, working of not, cannot "foul up" (or fowl or otherwise bird up) the exhaust gasoline recirculation system. You seem to be having bigger problem than what you ask. Can you elaborate to get a better answer?

If you have high quality after market speakers with a lower impedance (2 ohm and 4 ohm) versus the factory speaker impediance (8 ohm 12 ohm and 16 ohm) your headunits sound out device is probably fried inside your head unit. that or all your speaker leads are fowling out at the same time which i would find that hard to believe. But the good new is, some of the newer head units have a low impediance fail safe, so you could have one speaker that is fowled out that is sending the head unit into protection mode which is muting the output until the fowled wires are cleared. Disconnect your speakers and turn the head unit up playing a cd or something, then connect each speaker one by one. You should have sound. hope this helps.

is there power and pulse to coil 2&3 Cyl? rev counters run of the coil pulse.Number 2&3 cylinders are likely to be fowled now so replace plugs and retry (a fowled spark plug will never fire) it will only track

does it backfire when revving down? are your spark plugs coming out black? if yes, you need to lean out your system a little by adjusting the mixture screw on the carb.

If the smell is a mildew type odor this is common with the newer energy efficient machines. To remove the odor I would suggest using a product called Affresh or Smelly washer. These used on a monthly basis will help eliminate and keep it from coming back. If it is practical to leave the lid open when not in use that will also help. The products I talked about are available at Target, Lowes and grocery stores near the laundry detergent.

Take the carb back off and adjust the float in bowl to spec.If you don't have spec just adjust till fuel stops overfowing an go with that.Yeah, it might take a few times.

Initially, change the plugs and observed if fowling is still on the same cylinder.

If yes, then items to checks:

• compression;
  
• sparkplug wire & cap for that particular plug;
  
• carb half for that cylinder.
  

Postback results of tests.

check your oil. pull the dipstick and smell the end of it. find out if you can smell gas in the oil. If so the car won't start because it is fuel fowled. change the plugs. be aware this will only solve the problem until enouph gas gets back through and fowles them again....... have it checked to find out why you gas is getting to your plugs.
