Admiral washing machine no cold water

The washing machine worked after the plumber left the other day,
then is stopped working, and now it is working again. It has to be the
washing machine ..not working properly. Sometimes it allows the cold
water to come through, sometimes it does not. The plumber did remove
washers that stopped the loud sound always coming from the machine ..so
all not lost there ..but the washing machine cold water only works about
30% of the time. Plumbers came back said it's the machine

How do we get the cold water to flow 100% of time?

HI, this is a faulty inlet valve assembly. you should replace this failing component asap if possible.This will fix the issue.

After 2 yrs. the cold/cold selection doesn't work at all but the other selections give me hot h2o only. Also, rinse cycles just stopped working!
Your water inlet valve has 2 electric coils on it. One for hot --one for cold. The cold is probably bad. Most newer machines use COLD rinse only so if no cold fill it just stops in the rinse cycle. Replace the inlet valve which is the part on the machine back the hoses hook to.

replace the solenoid on the cold water inlet as the coils burn and the unit will not activate.. Go to the dealer for spares taking the model number and ask for a cold water solenoid unit.

Washer fills with hot water on cold wash or rinse. Turned off the hot water supply during cold cycle and machine stopped filling. Checked that the hoses were connected to right inlet valve and they are.
typically hot is on the left and cold is on the right at the house faucets but in some cases they are reversed so if filling with a cold setting and the right side supply is hot the plumber reversed the lines when the house was built which while its semi rare has been seen numberous times
