Driver door doesn,t close

If you look at the latch mechanism on the door you will see a slotted piece that will line up with the latch receiver on the door post. When the door is open, this slot should be turned so that it can grab the receiver when you close the door. Try moving it into the proper position while manually pulling the door open handle.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

Cannot open driver's side door. locking mechanism will not unlatch in door frame where door shuts.

Inspect the inside door handle closely. Those are notorious for breaking. They start by cracking and then it doesn't pull on the rods that go to the latching mechanism hard enough to open the door. Did you notice that it started getting to where you had to keep pulling on the handle harder and harder to get the door to open? If so I would almost bet that you need a new inside door handle. They are pretty easy to replace but you will need to remove the door panel. The latch mechanism may be messed up or maybe just needs some lubrication.

TAKE A SCREWDRIVER OR SOMETHING TO PUT IN THE GAP IN THE LATCH WHERE THE STIKER IN THE DOOR JAM IS WHEN IT IS CLOSED NORMALLY,& WHILE YOU HAVE THE SCREWDRIVER OR SOMETHING SIMILAR IN THE LATCH,PULL TOWARDS THE CAR WHILE YOU PULL THE HANDLE LIKE TO OPEN THE DOOR AS IF IT WAS CLOSED NORMAL,& IT SHOULD OPEN THE LATCH.

The front door latch won't allow the door to close

The latch probobly needs lubed, and is stuck in the closed,or latched position...open door and pull up on handle, and then look at latch componant and you will see that it is in latched position...just pry it back with a screwdriver to open it again...you must have door handle pulled to get it to open though...then lube it and work it back and forth a couple times to loosen it up....good luck ...Lee

Passenger sliding door doesn´t unlock (Power locks). When pulling the handle either inside or outside with doors unlocked it won´t open.

Sound like you have a dammaged door latch assembly. It is a pain but you have to take the insid door trim panal off to see what you are doing and make sure the latch assy is un locking. Dis connect power door lock motor linkage to make sure motot is not jaming the lock in the lock possition.
