Usage of KVM 2-Port USB between 'thin client' and 'Desktop' stopt
Hi,
We are using a Belkin KVM switch between a thinclient (citrix session on windows CE) and a normal XP desktop : all connections are USB, the screen of the ThinClient is connected using an HD adapter to , after some minutes the switch completely stopped to work, a reboot is required.
The KVM switch is equiped with a small buzer to switch between A & B.
Previously this was used between 2 normal desktops, and work fine..
any idea ? thanks,
thanks for your answer. we already switched the USB, but this do not solve the problem, only a reboot is helpfull. We can reproduce it on all our equiped systems (+/- 30) after 3 or 4 minutes it is not working and if you are on the system you don't want to use, you have to reboot to switch back to the first !!!. thanks for your answer. we already switched the USB, but this do not solve the problem, only a reboot is helpfull. KVM are not the most reliable and will fail sometimes. The quickest way to get it back is to plug into a different USB port for the one that is active.

You can switch directly to any port by entering the Switch port number you wish to use. For example, if you press “SCROLL LOCK”, “SCROLL LOCK”, “2”, the computer on port 2 will be selected.
AutoScan Mode In AutoScan mode, the Switch remains on one port for eight seconds before switching to the next. This time interval cannot be changed. To enable AutoScan mode, press “SCROLL LOCK”, “SCROLL LOCK”, “S”.
