Can anyone tell me how to adjust (if possible) the radio frequency as I live in New Zealand and can't pick up stations as the car is on Japanese frequencies?

SOURCE: Converting built in infinity radio tuner to get european stations

Hi Barak, I have not seen an easy adjustment on any car stereo for converting the frequencies. The Crossfire stereo is manufactured by Becker. Try Becker of North America in Upper Saddle River NJ.

SOURCE: I have problem with my car radio , its frequency standerd

Some radios have the option to adjust sensibility when scanning the frequency, check in your owners manual if your radio have that option. If you can't find that there or if you don't have it let me know about the brand and model.

SOURCE: Change Radio Frequency

Most radios made in American have fixed tuners and do not have a way to change frequency of the radio. If they use the same FM frequencies (88.1-108.0) then all you have to do is do a scan or seek of what is available when you get there or a new radio will be needed. There may be a way to add a EU tuner and have the original radio receive the output of it through a channel in the radio. It's the cheapest way to not have to buy a new NAV/RADIO device. It would work kind of like the hands free devices that are not hardwired do here.

SOURCE: HONDA INTERNAVI - English lang/software & operating instructions

Hi Peter, since there's no english language support in honda navi systems, my suggestion is to scrap the head unit and buy an aftermarket one. Kenwood or JVC 2-din units are compatible with Honda systems. If you have steering control, install SWI interface module (google: pac swi). If you have reverse camera, check that the player have CCD input. If the aftermarket unit have built-in GPS, make sure you load the map for your country. You can get a decent one for about USD400 (c/w CD / DVD / MP3 player and all those new stuffs).

Why will my radio new 3120 not pick up dab stations at all really tune and all I get is radio 2 have tried for a week to get magic fm thank you

If you have replaced a normal car radio with a DAB then your existing aerial is not suitable due to the required frequency range. You need a DAB aerial for cars. There are many types available, internal or external. Don't bother with converters as this will only give a marginal boost to the fm aerial.

How do i tune Mazda Demio (2004 model) radio to Southern African frequencies?

fm frequencies are just that fm frequencies ( not japanese, chinese ,english or anything else
it is a range of frequencies in the fm band that local stations broadcast on
so all you have to do is to turn the tuner knob until you get 107 fm
so as you turn the knob you will loose 89 and it will go probably 90.5 , 100.20, 102.7 etc and if there is a station broadcasting that your radio will pick up it will come in and then fade out as you keep moving the knob
you may have to change the mode as there are fm 1 ,fm 2,fm 3 bands to get your fm 107 as it will depend on what megahertz 107 is operating on

No fm radio stations tune in. 1993 Acura Legend/ w Bose radio/cassett. AM works great. verified all antenna connections already.

Not much it can be really. If it is picking up A.M. no problem then it is not a connection problem. It is a fault in the radio itself. F.M. frequency is the easiest to pick up so get the radio checked as it has to be internal.
