Question about ThermoKool MR-138

1 Answer

Does it really cool to 40 degrees

I am giving myself a shot everyday with a medicine that requires me to keep it at 36 to 46 degrees. While we are traveling that is difficult and I am researching the ThermoKool MR-138 that we could take in the car and the motel. It says it will cool to 40 degrees. Do you know if it does or any other item we could buy?

Many of the beverage coolers that run on the 'solid state' principle will work...provided the temp in the car is not more than 70 degrees. You can get one at any auto supply store for 40-100 dollars.

Check all the vents for something blocking the air flow.

There may be vents that need to be closed and or opened a little for proper adjustment.

ThermoKool MR138

To keep a constant 40 degrees the fridge would have to be running 24/7. Any fridge will maintain the 40 degrees but in your case, if you are going to be travelling, you should be looking at a fridge that can run on mains and battery power. It might even pay you to invest in an extra battery, dedicated to the fridge and charged by mains power and/or the vehicle alternator.
