Portable dvd player slows or stops

The pladder motor that spins the dvd disc is failing, or the 5volts to the motor is flutuating, usually the whole assembly is replaced and is expensive.

I have a digital labs model K715 dvd player. when i put a disc in, it spins, screen say its loading but will spin, stop, spin and stop again. Wont play the disc.

Try doing the following...

Making sure the "line select" has been switched from "in" instead of "out". Once you switch it back to "out", the player should work normally.

Dratted Coby TF-DVD7100 Portable DVD player not working!

Its defective. Coby doesn't repair the units. The lense is off balance which is causing the laser to not read the dvd/cd.

Disk is not spinning in emerson portable dvd

if the disc doesn't spin, it sounds like a bad motor. can you hear the laser adjust? if you do, then it's probably a dead motor, if you can't hear that laser adjust at all, and the motor doesn't spin at all, the connection might have come undone(they both share a connection)
