Shinn, I'd say you've gotten your monies worth out of 6 year old dehumidifier. Most of the time, it's more expensive in the end, to repair one than it is to purchase a new one. With that said, I'd vote for purchasing a new one. Just take as good of care of the new one as your did the old one. Obviously, you performed preventive maintenance on the old one and that's very important. Which makes you the exception to the rule, that most consumers don't take care of what they have and are astonished when an appliance fails.
