I'm not familiar with this specific model or remote, but in general, after correctly adding a code, you get two flashes to confirm the code was correctly entered. One flash means the code was not correctly accepted or available. If it's an older universal remote, it may not support that specific code for a newer device. Also codes are specific to the device, so make sure you are hitting the correct device key....eg: DVD, hold set up until two flashes, punch in the correct code, and you should get two flashes. Others are hold setup, two flashes, then DVD, then the code, etc. If it's a 3 digit code and your device requires four digits, add a zero first. 0123 rather than 123. I've had very good luck with the One For All remotes.

Yes, you can use the MontBlanc trick with this player. Google it, or just create a file "MontBlanc.DVD" containing four bytes "17 17 8c 00", and place it in \Violet0000\Rubicon on a CD-R, then finalize the disc and insert it in the Blu-ray player.

You applied the wrong Firmware You must get the firmware for the country of origin. Contact LG for the correct link for area 4

Actually you can use the DVD region hack CD designed for the LG BH200.
it works fine!
You can download it fron the HD forum.

unfortunately I do not have yet the trick about how to turn region free the BDR part
If you make progress on it let me know
