What is the 'Anion' button for on my eurolab air purifier

What is the 'Anion' button for on my Eurolab tabletop model air purifier? I can't find the instructiions, thanks.

Unfortunately, I can't find that information, as the company is currently in Chapter 11 and has sold off all rights to it's products as of June. From my experience though, when the light begins to flash, it is supposed to be replaced. At least I had to replace one that way while under warranty.

There is always the possibility that the main control board has failed in that unit. The unit generates very high voltage and negative charges that leave the grid to trap small particles. With that in mind the board can accumulate a static charge and be ruined. Can you run it? I would not. There are cases where units similar to yours have caused fires.

I believe the beep when you initially plug it in is normal. I don't think this model requires replacement filters and if not, the beep is not related to a sign the filter needs replacement.

WHEN I RUN THE DAYTON AIR PURIFIER, SHOULD ANION BUTTON BE ON OR OFF ?

It's up to you. Per Dayton, the anion feature is to remove odors.

My personal opinion is that is just a button for you to fiddle with.

do you hear arcing or snapping sounds when it's powered on? if so check to see where it's coming from, I posted a fix for this in some other posts. check the wires that run along the front of the cell plates, broken loose or sagging wires can cause this

Be sure to have the correct Model Number handy, when calling. As some models have been discontinued, but are still supported by Hunter Air.

Lights still flashing after i replaced filter

You have to press the reset button on some models. The unit does not have any way of knowing you reset the filter -- you have to tell it.

Professional Series Ionic Breeze Tabletop

There isn't one. The reason why Sharper Image went out of business is because the Ionic Breeze was proven to be ineffective product and harmful to use in some cases based on Consumer Reports data as well as data from the EPA. They sued Consumer Reports, lost the case, and had to pay all the legal bills.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission is going to making decision on all ionizers by the end of the year. It's quite possible that no one will be selling them anymore.

There is thread I left in the Ionic Breeze section about the EPA data on ionizers and the harmful effects of using them as well as a link about what happen to Sharper Image.

This product should have been regulated a long time ago. Orek and few others are going to be pulling the plug on them real soon.
