Hey, My ear piece has broken off after only 11 months. Also every thing I ever bought with Ge products has been a disaster. Every thing always breaks, no matter the product. So I thought this was improved, but no, just like all g.e products. junk. oh well, this time i know better then to buy a ge product.

I forgot how to get my Jabra tell me from my contacts names instead of the phone just ringing in my ear.

?? your contacts list isn't stored in your earpiece , its stored in your phone that the earpiece connects via Bluetooth too , so if your "phone" doesn't verbally announce whos calling to you then I don't see how your ear piece is going to ??

If there is a battery in the earpiece; is it safe? There is some controversy about the safety of holding a cell phone to one's ear for extended periods; that's why I wanted an ear piece.

Yes it is perfectly safe. The easiest way to identify whether a bluetooth set is malfunctioning or unsafe is - HEAT. Normally batteries which are about to die or devices malfunctioning will heat up quickly when you charge it.

So unless you dont feel abnormal heat.. they are perfectly safe. Try to remove the BT earpiece when not needed. Your ear canal needs natural air flow. Blocking it with a prolonged use of a BT device could heat up the ear canal. That's where the problem starts! :-)

You cant here the dialing ton when calling someone

Hi, when you try to call and you don't hear a dial tone,is because the ear piece that makes you hear some one calls you is damaged and will need to be replaced.

Usually gets damaged by itself and to replace the earpiece, you will need to disassemble the phone to be able to replace the hear piece.

The earpiece is located atthe top head of all phones. And is easily to locate.
When you replace the earpiece you cannowhear the dial tone on your phone.

Thanks for using fixya.,.

My Motorola S305 stereo bluetooth headphones' foam pads on one of the ears is falling off. I've tried using something like a credit card to pinch the foam back into the game where it seems to be held in,...

Hey, this might be too late to help you, but I figured I'd share in case anyone else came across this while looking for help (as I did).
There's a small inner ring that the edge of the foam ear pads wraps around, but you can't really fit it under there while it's attached to the earpiece. The solution? I used something thin (specifically a nail file) to remove this "ring". It actually seems designed to pop on and off. I was then able to easily wrap the foam ear pad around the ring, then re-attach the ring to the rest of the earpiece.
Hope that helps!

I need a replacement earhook for my Jabra VBT2050 Bluetooth

I have not found one for sale. Even if I did find one, I'd probably lose it like the old one or break it since it's plastic.

I made my own.8a14287.jpg

Go to Radio Shack and get some "heat shrink tube" Put it over the metal and warm it up. It will shrink and cover the sharp edges. It's soft, black plastic.

Be sure to shape it to your ear before you wrap it around the Bluetooth earpiece. Then just tighten it with pliers and never have to worry about it again.

Ear piece does not work. Station top light does not come on

The 500A base station is definitely compatible with the 510 earpiece. If the earpiece is turned off or unpaired the base station's red power light will be flashing. If the earpiece is already off, try turning it on by holding down the little black button on top. The base station will automatically try to find the earpiece and the blue light on top of the base will come on. If the earpiece is already on (slow flashing blue light on the mic boom) turn it off and back on again and wait for the base to find it.

Changing earpiece

•First take your  device and hold it vertical.
•Looking at the earpiece that ressembles somewhat Alladin lamp, it's tip is positioned either at past 20 (for right ear) or before 20 (for left ear).
•Depending if it's one side or the other, you should turn the earpiece clockwise to 30 or counterclockwise to 30. So the "tip of the lamp", which is the ear channel of the earpiece in fact, is indeed at 30 past the hour.
•Then pull it out with a round motion downward, assuming the upper part is the blue light.
You can then change the side of the ear wire and or the earpiece for a different size supplied by RIM when you bought the device. I don't know how/where to get new earpieces. They don't seem to sell them separately...which is rather frustrating considering the price they sell this device!
