Kodak EasyShare C613 not able to connect through USB

Today I bought Kodak EasyShare C613 camera. Made some nice pictures, came home, installed EasyShare software as I was supposed to. Then it has shown not to be as easy to share photos, since my WinXP recognizes the camera, but won't find any drivers for it. So camera is detected, software running, but i'm not able to transfer the pictures, because I can't connect to camera. Any ideas to solve this?

I got my "EasyShare yester. I cannot get the usb cable to plug all the way into the camera. I am afraid to force it. So, I am not sure if I am even getting as far as the person posting the original. Instructions are not at all clear on processes.

Exact problem. Device Manager says it's there but an error comes up when attempting to transfer pictures off, 'Cannot get device information'. No luck so far! Ahhhh!

Hi, where do I found the software driver for Kodak EasyShare C613 Digital CameraC613 for Windows 7. Thanks Susanne

You might want to consider NOT using a driver. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Kodak EasyShare C613 not able to connect through USB

I had part of this problem. Click on the "add pictures" button, and find your camera on the screen in the upper left hand part. THen choose the photos you want to download. That is how I do mine. If that doesn't work, just keep trying. I had to try for a LONGGGG time to get mine to load. I used to have to pay to get my photos on a disc..

Usb cable help!

It is normal behavior for the Kodak C613's screen to go off when connected to usb. With Kodak's usb driver installed, you should see two disk drives Appear in Windows Explorer. If not, please advise. The Easyshare software should recognize the camera as well.

Kodak EasyShare C613

There is a certain thing you can buy that has a cord that hooks up to your computer, and then you put your camera in the little holder and it uploads. BUT if you dont want to spend your money on that, yes you need a USB cord to upload. Your camera should have come with A USB cord, manual,CAMERA (:, a software disk, etc.
