I have an older hitachi plasma tv and after my nephew was over this last week, it is zoomed in to where you can't see what channel you're watching. I need help fixing this. We had a tech come out a few years ago to help fix it when we switched service providers, but it's back and I can't figure out how to fix it
Press the settings or menu button on your remote. There should be an option for aspect ratio. Set it to widescreen or 16:9

SOURCE: TV will not turn on
Good Morning Chris,
OK, first of all lets unplug the TV and wait 15 minutes for the High Voltage to discharge.
Remove the back and follow the power cord to the power supply. Somewhere around there you should find a fuse. (there may be more than one) get a bright light to look inside and try to find as many fuses as you can. Remove each fuse one at a time and check them with an ohm meter.
If you don't get a good solid reading on any of them replace the fuse or fuses with the exact same rating. Even if you get a reading and the display is jumping around and will not stablize, replace the fuse. Usually a good fuse taken out of the circuit will display a good steady reading on the meter.
I hope this solves your problem.
Have a great day!
