You need to access router's interface. You can do so by typing routerlogin.net or 192.168.0.1. Once you're able to access interface you can change channels or set to auto.

How do change channels on a belkin,92

You need to access your router IP page to change frequency channels, the default IP page address is 192.168.2.1.. Open a web browser and type that address into the url, that should take you to your routers IP page. There are many settings in there you don't want to mess with if you don't know what they mean, now scroll down to wireless settings after gaining access into your router. There you will find channel options, I'd pick channel 11 also if you have a smart phone you can download an app of the google play store called WiFi analyzer. In that app it will show you how crowded channels are around you, most are on channel 1,6.

I have a Cisco lynxsis wireless router I had wireless the other day but the. It just stopped connecting. First it said I was connected then none of my apps would load using the internet. Then it stopped...

The previous answers get you to the point where you can log into your router using the IP address of the default gateway. You will, of course, need the proper credentials (username/password). What you want to do is change the wireless channel. Most modern routers/gateways default to "auto," which means they can change channels at will. I prefer to fix my routers to a specific channel, based on some analysis. For this, I use an app called WiFi Analyzer, which is a free download from the Google Store. If you have an Apple device you're out-of-luck, as Apple will not allow your phone to determine the signal strength of nearby WiFi devices. The WiFi Analyzer app provides various representations of the signal strength of all channels on your router. Simply choose the best channel and set your router to use that channel.

Cant keep ipad2 connectd to netgear wnr1000 vs

Sounds like the Ipad is getting out of "readable" range of the WiFi signal. You might log into the router and change the channel to channel 1. If that does not work, try another channel. If no channels work, you will probably need a Wifi extender to get the signal upstairs and readable for the Ipad.

Where do I go to change router channel?

You can find the user manual for your router here:
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DIR-655&tab=3

To change the channel, look on page 10 of the user manual for directions on how to access the web interface of the router.
Once you get logged-in to the router, you can then go to page 22 to change the settings for the channel. You'll want to disable "Enable Auto Channel Scan" and choose 802.11g as the "802.11 Mode". Then choose the channel you require from the "Wireless Channel" selection.

Wont let my wii on my wifi error code 50200

The Wii is not connecting or finding your wifi because of a firewall issue with your wireless router. Your wireless router is set to broadcast on channel 6. The Wii wants a certain channel though. I had this same issue when I set up my Wii.
Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6.
The following link will give you a default settings page for each brand of routers. Select your brand and model and it will give you a url to get to the settings. The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.

My wifi network goes down when my home phone rings

Lots of cordless phones will interfere with WIFI if the router is on certian channels. Try getting into your router and changing the channel to 11. Channel 6 is the default of many routers and it is real close to the same frequency of cordless devices.

If you need to know how to get into the router, just comment here and I will explain it.

Had my netgear router for months now and not had a

Solution to intermittent wireless connection is change the wireless channel of the router. Usually the default channel is 6 which is prone to interference. You may try channels 11 and 1. They are the next strongest channel of the router. Try to reset the router first.

AOL instant messenger

try pluggin directly into the router (test without your WiFi).. is it still happening? If not, then the problem is most likely your WiFi settings.. you might want to try a different channel (the default is usually channel 6).. so change the settings on both the router and the computer to..say.. channel 11..

Let me know the results..
