SOURCE: I have the Nerf Stampede

1.) Check to see if the batteries are inserted right.
2.) If for some reason they aren't pressed up against the metal right, add metal between the batteries and the conductors to insure they are in full contact.
3.) Did you screw in the battery pack all the way? I'd check that.
4.) (The hard) look inside the gun (unscrew the plates) and find out if the circuit is 'complete'. One of the factors in the gun's circuit being complete (jam door, batteries, or clip) may not be working the proper way.

Good luck with your problem.

Also- are you sure they are brand new?

Try getting a full refund if you can, if all else fails.

Take a few pictures of the internals and email them to me at [email protected]. I'll try to see if I can come up with a probable answer.

My stampede got wet and will not fire. how do i fix it? can i fix it?

Let it dry in a hot place for a couple of days and try it again. Hopefully at this point you have not fried any crucial components, otherwise you will just have to buy a new one.

I have the Nerf Stampede ECS and I have brand new batteries in, the jam door is closed all the way, the clip is inserted and the on/off is switched to on. It is like the gun is getting no power.

I just got my new nerf stampede and put batteries in. I turn it on it fires 4 darts and then just stops. there is no sign of jamming

There are multiple factors in the inconsistency of your product's functioning.

1.) You have not successfully screwed in the battery cartridge tight enough so as the metal conductors are touching (with pressure).

2.) Your batteries are dead or almost dead.

3.) You put 4 bullets in your clip - kidding :)

4.) The circuitry may not be high quality, was your gun tampered with or from an unreliable source?

5.) Your jam door may not be high quality and could often slip from its locking point, I'd suggest taping it momentarily to keep pressure on it just to see if this is the case.

6.) The clip may be loosely in also, I'd also look into that.

If your gun stopped working permanently- I'd suggest looking inside at the white plunger, and the parts that release it from its pressurized position. There are many diagrams on the internet of the internals for it.

My Nerf Nite finder laser doesn't work, we have the batteries in and in the correct way. Any ideas please????

Here's one--

Although I am not completely familiar with the internals of the NERF NIGHTFINDER I have a good idea what is wrong.

Sometimes factories screw up, etc...

Lemme get to the point.

The circuit operating your light (if you don't know what that is look it up and find out) is probably not connected. Open up the laser and look online at what the internals look like. Make sure that the circuit is complete.

That's all, email me at [email protected] for more info on modding and nerf guns.

Stampede ECS won't fire the darts. It sounds as if it is firing, however, the darts just stay in the chamber. The spring mechanism is moving and the batteries are new.

I had this same problem. Well, actually after I modded it. I hope you are good with your hands, because this takes effort.

Unscrew the casing and open the gun (remember to take the battery pack out and have the two plates together so that the wire connecting them doesn't break).

When you see the plating covering the plunger (spring) system take it off, it has about 5 screws.

Since this is extrememly hard to explain in words, look at an internet picture of the internal plunger system. The way it works is that when the spring/tube goes forward (as the motor operates) the 'plunder' (the white thing) stays back. As the orange tube goes forward it triggers and release mechanism that fires the plunger forward due to spring pressure, compressing the air, therefore firing the bullet.

All you have to do (which is what I did) is insert a clip (with the plates open), make sure the jam door is closed, and put the battery pack in (to complete the circuit). Do a bunch of test runs to make sure the white plunger is shooting forward as the mechanism operates.

This will all make sense once you activate the gun without base plates.

Email me at [email protected] if you complete it, have questions and/or comments.

I hope it helped!

PS- while you're at it, you might as well look for online instructions on how to mod the air restrictor (as I am too lazy to write a few more paragraphs!).

Nerf Vulcan won't auto-fire

I had the same problem with two guns out of the box. Turned out that the dividers in the battery tray kept the batteries from touching each other on some brands of batteries. Remove the dividers and should work. You can verify this by measuring the voltage on the two terminals of the battery pack.
